Each year, NurseWeek honors some of the country's most talented and dedicated nurses through its Nursing Excellence Awards.  This year's group of California finalists included those honored for their commitment to patient care, community service, and advancing the profession of nursing.  Nurses perform the most important acts of service...caring for our patients.  They do it because of who they are.  Their generosity and compassion shine as they provide our patients with quality care - and we want them to know how much we appreciate their caring excellence.  Please extend your congratulations toward USC University Hospital's 2003 Finalist, Glenna Traiger, RN, BSN, MSN

Glenna enjoys teaching patients, families and colleagues about the latest in cardiovascular health at USC University Hospital.  While Glenna has set the standards and protocols for her unit as Cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Supervisor, she also serves on editorial board and nursing school faculties.  We congratulate Glenna on being a 2003 NurseWeek Magazine Nursing Excellence Award finalist in the category of  "Teaching."
