Otolaryngology is the branch of medicine concerned with medical and surgical treatment of the head and neck, including the ears, nose and throat. It is a regional anatomic specialty that encompasses communicative disorders, otologic and neurotologic diseases, head and neck cancer, craniofacial trauma, facial aesthetic problems as well as common diseases of the ear, nose and throat.
