Our Nursing Philosophy

 

USC University Hospital nurses are committed to quality nursing care and service excellence.

I. Commitment to the Patient

USCUH nurses are patient advocates who believe each individual is unique. Nursing care is planned and delivered in response to the specific needs of each individual.
USCUH nurses believe that patients are participants in their own care as far as their health status allows. A patient’s care is delivered via the collaborative efforts of the entire health care team, including the patients and the patient’s family. Realistic goals are set and patient teaching is emphasized.
